A man in his 50’s was killed after he was trapped in the rear section of a trailer home in theย 6200 block of Foster Road in Falls Township Sunday evening during a raging fire.

One other person suffered minor injuries, Levittown Fire Co. No. 1 Chief Rich VanSchaick said. Neighbors stated that more than eight ย people were in the home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters arrived to find the trailer fully ablaze at approximately 8 p.m. and attempted to rescue the man, officials said.
“They werenโt able to get in and make a rescue,” Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito, said.

The Fire Marshal said an unstable and fire-damaged floor and roof of the home were providing unsafe conditions for investigators.
Two neighbors, who did not give their names, said the man lived with several family members and had suffered the death of his wife only last year.

Authorities are still probing the cause of the fire, officials said.
